I have a degree in art from UNM. My primary medium is printmaking and my prints are usually made from a variety of sources like woodblock, monotype, and etching. Through printing the different sources I layer the image and discover it. My work has been shown in a variety of shows and venues over the years in NM and in the US. I show my work at New Grounds Print Workshop in Albuquerque. I also teach Middle School art at Menaul School and enjoy teaching young artists who often teach me new things with their discoveries and enthusiasm.
Artist Statement
As an artist I am interested in exploring sacred geography in my work. Shrines, in particular, fascinate me. Sacred art, traditions, scripture and devotion are all found at shrines. The ground we share-geographically and spiritually-is immense and rich.
