This wonderful collection of authentic, and in some instances, antique, African Art was lovingly curated by Liane Adams who lived in Nigeria for more than ten years around the 1990s. She worked as nutritionist and was employed by the Nigerian government. After returning from Nigeria she made her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She recently downsized her belongings in preparation for moving into a long-term care facility and wanted the sale of this collection to benefit the patients of the New Mexico Cancer Center. Her estate was handled by ABQ’s Finest Estate Sales, owned and operated by Carmen and Robert Samora, who took the time and care researching and documenting the individual pieces in preparation for this exhibition.
