I work in acrylic, pastel, graphite, digital and music as a way of sharing and expressing visions that have been with me my entire life. I also see artistic potential everywhere around me. I began having otherworldly visions when I was four years old and my journey in life has always been about finding the best use of this.
The visions, a scintillating tapestry of endlessly shifting forms, colors and sounds, are always with me. The different materials and approaches enable me to explore the flow and evolution of ideas that gush like a firehose. Frequent techniques such as impasto and alla prima allow me to flesh out an idea as it takes on a life of its own in a single session, while different scales allow for different strokes with a knife or brush. These approaches also allow for the suggestion of motion.
My goal is to use my visions of this otherwise indescribable space to create the essence, spirit or milieu of a place, idea or event. Each piece of visual music is a window into another world that creates an expressive personal outlet for the flow of energy and vision within me.
